Just found out, Tom's has a new line coming out in Spring 2012 (no news there). The news worthy part: the shoes are BALLET FLATS. Way to take the awesomeness and comfort of Tom's to a whole new level... 

Berlap, linen, leather and suede?!? Sign me up...

Occupy

I know this is OLD news, and I don't plan on getting political here. At least, not over this. I went out to shoot Occupy San Diego with NBC after some of the protesters were maced. Man, am I bummed I missed out on the chance at those shots....

Even though the San Diego movement is nothing compared to what I'm used to seeing in the bay area, things like this make me wonder what it felt like to be part of a time when protests actually meant something. No wonder my parents were hippies....

First Halloween in San Diego

We had a great time for our first real holiday in town. Apparently San Diego is the place to be for Halloween. Thousands upon thousands of people flock to downtown and take part in the "Monster Bash".

This is not what we did. As you can see by that crowd, going downtown and work at 6AM do not mix. So we headed out in our neighborhood. Definitely nice having a main drag within walking distance.
