First Halloween in San Diego

We had a great time for our first real holiday in town. Apparently San Diego is the place to be for Halloween. Thousands upon thousands of people flock to downtown and take part in the "Monster Bash".

This is not what we did. As you can see by that crowd, going downtown and work at 6AM do not mix. So we headed out in our neighborhood. Definitely nice having a main drag within walking distance.

Classy, jello shots and pizza. Chris's concoction.

Remnants of pizza in the background, yep it's definitely our place.

Jack definitely doesn't trust Chris in that outfit...

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I didn't plan very far ahead this year, but if I would have....

I would have picked up some of these banners. They make me want to plan a party just to use them!

Instead, I'll settle for some homemade soft tacos and enchiladas and a quiet night with friends. Have a great weekend!

Playing secret bunny

I'm sure you've guessed what I've been up to by the title of this post. I set up a few little surprises this Easter in the form of baskets with goodies. Now that they're safely delivered, sneak a peek! I've been seeing ideas on message eggs around lately and decided to incorporate them into my baskets.

Painted, hollowed out and ready to go.

Cut out some messages to put inside and stick them in.

If you're like me and impatient, feel free to use a hair dryer to speed up the paint drying process. It didn't seem to make any difference visually.

The finished product!

When I placed them in baskets, I customized the outside of the egg with a sharpie (I forgot about that part until the end). Hopefully neighbors and roomies took the hint!

Happy Easter everyone!

Dear Easter Bunny

I'm thinking you and I need to get on the same page. I remember Easter being close behind Christmas, birthdays and Halloween in holiday awesomeness. We need to get back to that. Let's start with your end of the bargain. Just so you know, this year I would appreciate:

This adorable apron from anthropologie.

These bowls from FishsEddy that I wish I would have snagged while in NYC. Any patterns will do, seriously.

This DRESS! I would definitely go out of my way to find somewhere swanky to wear this baby.

If none of these are within your gifting arsenal, I guess I would settle for some chocolate. Or candy. Just please, no socks. (My mom finds socks to be a frighteningly entertaining gift for every occasion, and that's already more than I can handle)

Thanks, your dear friend Lindsay
xoxo
